The Christian Science Provider Network is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit provider network which provides Christian Science nursing services to enrollees of health plans.

Alan Marquardt II, Chair of the Board of Directors

 Allan Marquardt is semi-retired, having spent forty years in corporate and institutional banking, real estate acquisitions, and development and eighteen years serving volunteer boards including Peace Haven Association (five years concluding as president), Principia (nine years in two terms), and two branch churches of Christ, Scientist, where he served as reader and as a Sunday School teacher for many years. He served his Christian Science Association as treasurer for many years, earned his MBA from Wharton and his BA from Principia College. He resides in St. Louis with his wife Lois.

 

 

                                     

   Rayburn Hanzlik, Secretary/Treasurer

Rayburn Hanzlik is an attorney with over 50 years of experience in law, government and business. He served on the White House staff of two Presidents and in senior positions at the Department of Energy in two other administrations, most recently as Senior Legal Advisor during 201821.

His business experience includes working as an executive recruiter with Heidrick & Struggles in Los Angeles and founding two technology companies in San Diego. He practiced law with three Washington DC firms and served as general counsel for a New Yorkbased environmental remediation public company. He also founded and managed a lobbying firm that represented technology companies in Washington. Now semiretired, he has a limited law practice.

Mr. Hanzlik is a Vietnam veteran with active duty and reserve service as a Navy air intelligence officer, including two years in the Pentagon as an admiral’s aide. He has J.D. and M.A. degrees from the University of Virginia and B.S. degree from Principia College. He and his wife, Marilyn, live in Leesburg, VA.       

        John Mitchell, Director

John has served as Executive Director/CEO of Arden Wood in San Francisco (formerly the Christian Science Benevolent Association on Pacific Coast) since November of 2010. Prior to that he served as its Director of Development from 1998 to 2004. He served as Longyear Museum’s Director of Development from 2004 to 2010.

John has served in leadership positions in the Association of Christian Science Nursing Organizations/Facilities, Inc. (AOCSN), including Chair of the Agenda Planning Committee (APC) and member of the Executive Committee. 

Prior to joining the non-profit sector, John worked in various positions in banking, investment management and organizational consulting. He is a graduate of Principia College and has a master’s degree from Tufts University. He and his wife and daughter live in San Francisco.
